Leah and I, like always, drove to the company together. Previously, we'd be all chatty throughout the entire ride, but something was different today and I was sure it was yesterday’s incident.

I didn't bother saying a word throughout the entire ride, knowing my mind was already made up on what I'd do. Upon getting to the company, I stopped at the entrance gate like I've always done.

“You should get down here, I'll park the car and join you,” I told Leah, leaning close to her to open the car door for her, but she held onto my hand.

“Don't worry, Riley. Let's park the car together today,” she said, flashing her teeth at me.

Her smile was kind of weird and I suspected she still had something to say to me. Nodding, I reversed the car and headed in the direction of the company’s parking space.

Upon getting there and parking the car, I was about to get down when Leah held onto my hand. She inched close to me and stared directly at me.
