Chapter Sixty-one

Elena groaned, her eyes heavy with so much pain and unshed tears. Her body ached and it just seemed like whoever did this to her had launched several fire ants all over her body to punish her.

''Ohhh.'' she croaked, her throat too parched to say a word.

Squinting her eyes open, she hissed, shutting them close as a result of the bright chandelier that shone so brightly it seemed it was daytime.
