''Boss, is she awake now?'' one of my men asked.

As soon as I got the information that Elena was about escaping with the help of Lauren, I practically saw red. Never in my life would I ever have imagined that she could do something like this after all we had been through. I expected her to have at least come to me so we could talk about it but that wasn't the case. If my men hadn't been privy of this escape plan, Elena would have gotten away with it which would have left me with problems because now, I would be dealing with a missing person.

''Yes, she is.'' I simply said.

I remained silent, sipping my drink without a care in the world. I also couldn't deny the fact that I had overreacted, I shouldn't have tied her up. It was inhumane to do that and I knew she would hate me for it for the rest of her life and I wouldn't mind because I know I deserved it.
