35: Torture

Gwaine’s POV:

I walked downstairs and was greeted by the sound of Regan’s voice. He wasn’t alone, there were two other men I assume are a part of the border patrol. I met Nicole at the bottom of the stairs, she seemed to be headed upstairs.

“ I was just coming up to call you Sir, you have company.” She said, lowering her head.

“Alright, thank you.”

She turned immediately and was about to disappear before I called her again.

“Nicole?”

She paused, turned and hurried towards where I stood. “Yes, Sir?”

“I noticed the fresh paint you used to cover the blood trail in the hallway, that was thoughtful.” I said, suddenly unsure of how to thank or compliment her.

“Thank you Sir, just doing my job.” She replied right before I dismissed her. The men were seated but immediately I entered the room, they were all up on their feet.

I motioned for them to be seated before settling in one of the chairs.

“The prisoner you requested is in your dungeon as we speak, what would you have us do to him

Catherine was scared because she knew what he did to the prisoner and didn't know if he killed him or not. She probably thinks he did.
