Corey's POV

Natasha's incessant questions were beginning to annoy me. "Can we just leave? I'll explain everything when I get home." I demanded and she kept mute, walking behind me quietly.

For someone who was on heels, I walked very fast, eager to leave the premises and stay away from the stranger. Why couldn't he accept what I'd told him? There was no need for me to wait for him after he had berated me.

"Slow down, Corey. Don't forget that you are pregnant and the child in your womb doesn't need to be stressed." Natasha chided me and I scoffed, setting myself at ease in the backseat.

I couldn't drive and there was no way Natasha would allow me to or I'd end up killing the both of us.

"I'm trying to be calm, Nats." I shortened her name, liking how short and precise her name rolled out from my lips.
