Kai's POV

As I left her house, I felt a deep feeling of satisfaction with how I dealt with the issue. My ability to think quickly was one of the reasons my pack respected me and honoured me.

Being an Alpha was tasking and I wouldn't lead them successfully if I didn't watch my father deal with several issues. Those learning periods were the times I detested as I didn't have enough time to play around and have fun with my playmates.

Everything paid off, and I owed whatever I achieved to my father majorly.

My phone rang and I smiled when I realised who the caller was. Tracey and I hadn't spoken since the night before. Till now, I wasn't able to tell her about the woman who claimed to be pregnant for me.

Suspense claimed a greater part of my mind as I wondered who the child would belong to. I wanted the child to be mine even though it would hurt Tracey if she eventually found out, but the desire to have a successor had overridden my sense of judgement.
