Emotional Outburst.

My grumbling stomach woke me up from sleep and I rose from the bed grudgingly. As I sat up from the bed, I checked my phone. It was 1:12 am. It was becoming a habit to wake up hungry at midnight ever since I had the accident. Carefully through the hallway in order not to stumble into anything, I sluggishly found my way to the equally dark kitchen and I rummaged the wall for the switch. Turning it on, I shrieked at the view in front of me, sending any traces of sleep from my eye.

In my line of view were Xavier and Diane smooching on my kitchen counter.

They immediately stopped what they were doing when the light came on but I had already seen the inevitable.

“What the...” I cursed and a flushed Diane quickly pushed Xavier forward as she jumped down from the counter. “Wait.” I stopped her from moving over to me. “Don't come over, just.. just continue with what you were doing. I...I only came to get a refill.” I said thankful that I held my water flask.
