Chapter 25

The traffic was horrible coupled with horns and shouts from drivers. I wasted 40 extra minutes on the road and got to the office late. The heat on the bus combined with the stench of sweat was unbearable. At this point, I wished to have my car. If wishes were horses, beggars would ride.

The man sitting beside me reeked of alcohol as though he had a wild night and dressed up this morning for work without proper cleanup. He was trying his best to start a conversation with me, not minding the fact that I was by no means interested in a chitchat.

‘It's quite busy this morning.’ He started.

‘yes.’

‘You know, being your own boss is kinda chic, you know.’ He said again. But then he was dressed in a suit and his ID showed that he was a government worker.

‘hmm.’

‘where do you work?’

‘around.’

‘are you vast in the business sector?’

I shook my head hoping it would pass my message across that I wasn't interested in talking to him. He continued without minding my lack of interest.
