Mara's pov

I watched the argument that was brewing between Sam and Rhys, I just stood still while I watched the drama between the two of them.

They kept bantering words until Sam suddenly mentioned Talia's name, Rhys suddenly froze and his heartbeat raced, making me stand up from his chest. I stared at his face but couldn't read his expression.

“ Do you dare choose between Mara and Talia?” Sam persistently proposed and all Rhys did was to lower his gaze and stutter. He got angry and pinned down Sam.

My heart clenched in pain and I couldn't describe the emotions that were running through my body, sadness, betrayal… were all I was feeling at this point.

“ Let him go, Now!” I commanded unconsciously, my voice was so stern and cold that I almost doubted whether I was the one that spoke just now.

“ Choose one just like he has said,” I added with a serious face.

“ M… Mara, don't mind him,” she stuttered, trying to convince me.

I didn't have it as anger was brewing inside
