“Because we’ve known each other too long. In fifty years of being around rich people in Maldiva, I’ve never seen your daughter-in-law once. So I assumed from the start that she didn’t come from a wealthy family,” Becky replied.

“Then, with those points, are you assuming that I framed and hurt my daughter-in-law?”

“My daughter-in-law? Ha ha ha. I’m honestly quite surprised at what you just said. Margaret, your pride is too high to recognize Lizzy as your daughter-in-law. But, it seems like you have no other choice but to accept it. I was right, wasn’t I? That’s why you didn’t invite us to your son’s wedding. Even though for your wealthy family, a party is just small money. So, there’s no reason for you not to invite us. There’s only one reason you don’t want us to know about your daughter-in-law, and that’s because you felt embarrassed to have her as your daughter-in-law. Am I right?” she asked with a cynical smile.
