TWENTY FIVE

LIAM’S POV:

I arrived at the location where the unknown person had texted me. It was an old-storey building surrounded by bushes.

The foundations looked old and I feared that if there was a heavy breeze, the building would collapse.

I cautiously walked into the building trying not to draw attention to myself as I thought of silently reaching Mia before the police arrived.

I went up the creaky wooden old steps trying hard not to make some noise.

I passed the corridor and started hearing faint voices from one of the numerous doors in the corridor.

I traced the noise to a particular door that was located on the right wing of the corridor.

The stranger's voice didn't sound like Riley’s own because Riley was the only person on my mind that I thought would do such a thing.

I heard Mia’s voice and I gasped as I tried to rush in and save her but the next words I heard from the stranger's mouth made me stop on my tracks.

“I took you clubbing and forced you to drink alcohol. I spiked your drin
