STEFAN’S POV

Seeing Melissa in a difficult situation made me alert. I didn’t want to lose her again and that was the reason I told myself that I would protect her with all my might.

“Melissa! Hold on! I’m coming to you.” I called out to her as I ran with human speed and before I got to where she was, she had already saved herself and was coming out of the water, laughing as she covered her mouth.

“So, you could swim?” I asked, wondering why she pulled that prank on me.

“I can swim. But I had a bit of a problem back there, when I almost had a muscle cramp, so if you think I did that intentionally, no, I didn’t.” She said, with a slight smile on her face.

Regardless of if she did that intentionally, it made me fall in love with her the more and made me wish more and more that she would regain her memory. She was certainly a werewolf, regardless of her being reborn. It was such a rare case for a supernatural to be reborn as a human and that is the fact I will stand on.
