MELISSA’S POV

I was annoyed at the way Stefan spoke rudely to the couple and that only made me lose interest in what was happening here. I was embarrassed to be identified with him and it was certain the couple would think that I was also like him, since I was moving with him and all.

No matter how hard I tried, I still couldn’t get that scene off my mind and it renewed every single moment I remembered it. My phone rang and I checked who was calling. It was Layla.

“Finally. A distraction.” I said, with a smile as I answered the call.

“Hey Melissa. I called to check on you. How is that place and how are you enjoying the nice view, which I am certain the city would have.” Layla said, giggling over the phone.

“Well, the city is glorious and it has wonderful sights. I am more than honored to be here and I will make sure that I take in all the beautiful sights I can take in, before I leave.” I said, with a wide smile on my face.
