CHAPTER 3

Atarah got home into the large estate of her father's home, she went straight to her room and rested on the bed with a sigh.

She fingered her golden necklace which ended with a small silver pearl suspended in between her cleavage, it was an odd feeling but, anytime that pearl touched her chest.

Her body tingles for a moment, it was something that she had grown used too.

She stood up with a jerk and walked over to the mirror, she was going to be nineteen soon and she unquestionably wanted to explore the human world.

"Alright, father......You know that, I am going to be turning nineteen soon, that means..............I want my own freedom, I want to explore the........human......world........" It sounded so cringy that she covered her face feeling bashful.

She stood in front of her mirror tired of practicing how to ask Alpha Eric for her freedom, she wasn't afraid that he would scold her or snob her.

She was afraid that he wouldn't let her go, she wasn't related to him in blood but he took her in and took care of her as he would his own.

"Alright, I can't be timid...." She took a deep breath and clapped her cheeks lightly.

"Father, can I......."

"What's you doing?" A voice spooked her from behind and she jumped, for a moment she felt her heart jump out of her chest.

She groaned angrily as she discovered that it was Alaric, the alpha's son.

He was resting by her entrance door with his sinewy arms folded, his scorching red long spartan shaved hair perfectly complimented with his amorous crimson eyes. he closed the door with his heel.

"I have always told you to stop doing that." She said with an annoyed expression pursing her lips.

"And you will always look more beautiful, when you are angry."

He said coming close to her and his handsome image magnified as he grabbed her by the waist and she giggled.

"We are going to get caught." She said whispering into his ear.

"Only if you keep talking." He said with a smile and pressed his lips into hers, she felt bubbling sparks all over her body.

She savored a sour but yet sweet taste on his lips, the kiss only lasted a few seconds but it felt like an eternity.

"Are those strawberries?" She asked while blinking her eyes in surprise and he smirked.

"I got a bunch from the human world, when we went on scouting." She giggled with excitement.

"You know that, they are an aphrodisiacs........So, does it turn you on?" it was a soft whisper that made her aroused down there.

His manly statue and his scent of vertiver, It made him alluring to Atarah.

She launched herself to him for a deep, passionate kiss, he pulled away from her slowly and she uncontrollably let out a soft moan and he smirked.

"So, did you miss me?" He asked and Atarah palpably lied.

"Hardly."

"My Ari is now a liar, maybe you need a spanking." He said with a gentle whisper and Atarah giggled.

"Maybe, I have been a........ bad girl." Her whisper made him aroused and he lifted her right leg towards his hip, she could feel his erection as it poke her pleasure spot.

"Ah," She moaned softly and reached out for a passionate kiss.

He grabbed her long soft hair fervently as his tongue and lips entangled hers, she moaned as her body reacted responsibly.

He placed an arm around her behind and squeezed gently, she moaned again softly into his mouth. He pulled her tightly towards his hips, it was almost like his erection thrusting into her already.

She couldn't contain the chaotic sparks that fuel her desire for him and ravaged her body, she pressed her hands against his rock-like chest and he pulled away from her.

"Someone is coming, Ari." That name was always sweet, especially when it came out from his mouth.

The footsteps that Alaric had heard seconds ago, the owner had arrived at Atarah door.

The door opened with a voice opening from it.

"Alaric, your father summons you." Beta Luka said expressionlessly, he was the Alpha's best friend and his most trusted advisor.

"I will be here shortly." Alaric said expecting Luka to leave but he just stood here.

"He wants you there, now!" He laid emphasis on that last word and Alaric sighed.

"Looks I have to go now, we will have time to talk later."

He said to Ari without turning backwards and left the room closing the door.

To avoid any form of suspicious, he had to speak that way to her and Atarah was fine with it.

Ari fell on the bed with a sigh feeling lustful, she wanted more of him, she could still feel Alaric hands on her body and it made her reach out to her damped spot down there.

She moaned a little before she realized she was resulting into a bad habit.

She quickly got up feeling bashful as she covered her face, she felt how damped she was and she ran to the bathroom to shower.

Her relationship with Alaric started about a year back, when she had just turned eighteen....They both had strong affections for each other but, the reason why the relationship wasn't permitted was the fact that Atarah wasn't a wolf but Alaric approached her despite that fact.

Alaric walked behind Luka rhythmically so much so, that their footsteps were in sync.

It was an habit he had formed when he was learning how to scout, unnecessary movements or haste would lead to being spotted.

"You and the human seem close." Luka started, by human he meant Atarah.

"Well, we have always been like that since childhood."

"To be alone in her room seems rather close, don't you think?" Luka questioned him but Alaric sniffed.

"It felt like my scouting made her feel distance and she doesn't have anyone to interact with, since she isn't a wolf."

Alaric answered not giving any openings but he had a snicker from Luka.

"I wonder, if you truly knew." He said mysteriously and Alaric wanted to ask what he meant but a part of him let it go.

Any inquiries about Atarah would grow into suspicious, if he wasn't careful but he was curious by Luka's words.

They walked quietly together until they got the hunting grounds outside, his father had the largest household on the island, the estate boasted tens of bedroom with maids, kitchens, bathrooms, training ground and for the alpha personal favorite, the hunting ground.

A large span of land, housing short grasses and strong oak, tall trees blocked Alaric view but with his enhanced sense of smell, he could perceive the blood that has been spilled yards away from here.

"Is father hunting again?" Luka nodded as he answered.

"Yes, he probably wants you to find amidst this forest not that this was a challenge to your physical prowess."

"Definitely not a challenge." Alaric answered as he took off using his heels, he felt the wind fighting his body as he covered a quarter region of the forest in less than a minute.

He would just follow the scent of blood that would inevitably lead him to his father, he past a large tree that had smooth clean, deep claws marks with blood stains.

He stopped suddenly and scanned his environment, he sighed a dead goat on the ground and he walked towards it slowly, he had sense his father around here but suddenly he disappeared.

He knelt down beside the goat, it's stomach had been slashed and it's entrails spilled out, it was already dead.

His father always liked to enjoy the hunt, he would slowly but definitely kill his prey.

"You are growing sloppy, boy." He heard a sonorous deep voice from the surrounding.

He wasn't exactly sure where the voice came from but, he was definitely sure that if his father spoke again.

He could pinpoint his location.

"Are you sure about that dad?" He asked him a question, the best way for his father to respond.

He didn't respond to Alaric and he looked at where the trail ended, he father must have leaped into the trees cause there were no footprints to follow.

Alaric deduced and intentional focused his eyes somewhere else to bait his father.

"Bad move, boy!" His father leaped from the trees falling towards his Alaric behind him.

Alaric spun around quickly and transformed his arms only to block his father claws

Only Alpha's Eric hands and legs were changed to a silver hairy fur, no one had ever seen his father full transformation not even his Mom, the Luna of the society.

The reason was simple, nobody was ever strong enough to push him to fully transform.

His father's attack overpowered Alaric and sent him flying slamming his back on the tree.

Alaric fell to the ground with a groan and his father roared so powerful that the land seemed to rumble, the trees shook and Alaric covered his ears as a reflex action before Eric stopped roaring and reverted back to his human form, the fur disappeared like it had been an illusion and his claws retracted back to his nails.

He got his father’s look, his burning red hair and copper crimson eyes made him attractive to most girls but his heart belonged to someone else.

"You didn't think this through, did you? Alaric." He asked his son as he came close to him, Alaric reverted back to his complete human form and dusted his clothes.

"If I could beat you, don't you think I would be Alpha by now." Alaric gave a reasonable excuse and Eric laughed, his laughter almost sounded like the roar of earlier but less intense.

"You make a good point, let's put that on the side for now." His father extended his arms to him and Alaric took it.

His father pulled him for a hug and Alaric embraced him.

"How was the scouting? Did you enjoy the experience in the human world?" His father asked him.

"The scouting went well, except for the part where some hunters tried to kill us but we defended ourselves quite well, but the human world feels.............. mundane, it's just plain ordinary, I can't imagine how easy it is to kill an ordinary citizen just shoving him if I don't control my strength." Alaric paused feeling unsatisfied.

"Why don't we just take over their lands?"

"I am happy, you are learning but as an alpha, it is wise for him to know when to use this...........he touched his son forehead......and this......" He finished by showing off his sliver claws.

"One crucial mistake of when to use one for the other could lead to the extinction of our kind." His father said firmly hoping that his son would understand what he meant.

"But, I don't understand......We are stronger than the enemy right?"

"Yes, for now. We are strong." He father said slowly to Alaric as he was looking the skies.
