CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT

While I was running through the woods, my senses heightened as I sniffed out my surroundings. My ears perked up as I heard the rustling of leaves and the snapping of twigs, causing me to stop in my tracks and focus my attention on the noise. Suddenly, my eyes rolled back into my head, I fell to my knees, and I was consumed by a power I had never felt before.

In my vision, I saw a young woman with long black hair and piercing green eyes, she wore a pentagram necklace and had a raven with her. She was covered in blood, and I felt the magical energy around her. I could see the pain and anger in her as I looked around at the scene before me.

I saw the young witch standing in the middle of a community, surrounded by the dead bodies of her family. I could feel the woman's emotions as I realized what had happened. Her family had been slaughtered by the leaders of the community, the same people who had once welcomed them with open arms.
