Chapter 79: Katie's flowers

~ Raven's POV~

"Up… could you please help me go upstairs?" Lumiére said, struggling to rise to his feet.

Raven swiftly stood up and lent him a hand, supporting him as he tried to regain his balance. Together, they slowly made their way towards the bottom of the stairs. However, he gently pushed her away, not because he was angry—she could see it in his eyes.

"Please go… Find out who that person is... I'll manage," he assured her with a slight nod.

She felt hesitant at first, not wanting to abandon him in his current condition. But he mustered a reassuring smile and urged her to go. Although she still couldn't grasp what was happening to him, she could sense his determination to push his way through whatever was happened to him.

"Just so you know, my room is the first one on the right," she informed him, as a sudden surge of emotion compelled her to give him a brief kiss on the lips. For some reason, she felt like this was the last time she was going to see him.

Then she reluctantly re
