CHAPTER 26

I ran out of my room and into the kitchen as fast as I could. My heart was beating as fast as a drum but I didn't mind.

Already, I had played out different scenarios about what could've possibly caused the crash when I got to the kitchen and I saw Christian standing there with blood dripping from his hands and broken glass at his feet.

“Oh– are– are you okay?” I said, rushing to his side in a panic.

I picked a cloth immediately and ran it under the water for a while and brought it to his hand.

“Here” I took his wounded hand and started cleaning the blood from it.

He groaned in pain and just seemed to close his eyes for a few seconds and when he opened it he was just staring at me.

“What happened to you?” I asked him tentatively.

He sighed and ran his free hand through his hair. By the looks of it he seemed to be doing that a lot, his hair was messed up.

“I came to get a glass and guess I was just tired so it slipped and broke. I tried to pick it up and…” he said, gesturing to the bloo
