CHAPTER 27

I had been avoiding Christian for the whole morning. I hadn't left my room and didn't even want to face Riley.

She could see right through me and I obviously wasn't ready for that kind of exposure right away.

I wasn't really angry anymore and my annoyance was that a part of me wanted, like really really wanted, him to mark me yesterday.

But it was wrong on so many levels. One being he had a werewolf mate out there that would one day want his mark on her and vice versa.

And second, my mate was out there too. Doing whatever I don't know where but eventually we'll be together, I suppose.

“Argh” I said frustrated. I was currently lying on my bed counting the ceilings.

I was particularly starving, but leaving this room meant facing everyone and I wasn't really looking forward to doing that.

At some point in time I told myself I didn't really need food, I could survive on air and water for the rest of the year and I wouldn't die.
