CHAPTER 31

I stared blankly at my office the whole morning. It feels like I’ve been played all along.

He was not there that day.

Then if that was the case… what was that thing I encountered four years ago?

Did… Ellaine planned it all along?

I shook my head. I don’t want to think negative words about someone but there’s still a possibility. 

Why would she do that?

I was out of my reverie when I heard a knock. The door then swung open gently and whom appeared in front of me was none other than Daevon. 

I froze for a second when I saw him holding onto a bouquet of rose as he approached me. 

He thinly smiled at me and put down the flowers onto my table. 

“T-Thanks,” I uttered weakly while looking at it. I then turned to look at him. 

“I change my mind,” he said in a low pitch voice while staring at me. I gulped, feeling as if something was stuck in my throat.

“What do you mean?” I asked. I almost thanked God for not letting me stutter.
