Eira’s POV

“Of course, what did you want to discuss with me?” Selene asked me, looking up at me all serious.

I instantly became tongue-tied, now that I’m facing her, I didn’t know how to tell her that about the idea I had confidently told Dolphus last night.

“Selene, would you like to go out of the Palace?” I asked, focusing my attention on her.

I watched as she gently removed her hands from her mine and knotted them in her laps.

“You don’t have to, you can refuse if you want to,” I immediately added when I saw that my words made her uncomfortable. I wouldn’t ever do what will make her sad or comfortable because of my own personal ideas. She’s my patient and I’m after her well-being, but if she’s not interested, there’s nothing much I could do about it.

“Eira, I don’t know.” She finally let out, I could see tears slowly coming out of her eyes.
