Seventy - three

Eira’s POV

“She needs her ankle checked, ” the Vampire King answered, making it sound like I needed an incision.

It was just a sprain that I had worsened by moving my feet repeatedly while treating the boy. I can easily fix it myself. So I don't understand why he's making a huge deal out of it.

“Please, come in, ” the lady, who I suspected was a healer too because of her white gown and her badge, escorted me inside the clinic.

The Vampire King came inside too.

“How do you know we had arrived?” I asked her, unable to keep my curiosity.

“He’s the Vampire king, ” She stated the obvious and I rolled my eyes at her.

Of course, I know he's the vampire king and that wasn't what I asked her.

“But—”

“I have to adjust your ankle a bit now and it would be painful, so just hold it in, okay?” The vampire lady muttered and I nodded at her.

I have sprained my ankles so many times in the past and I have always adjusted it back myself. Yes, maybe they are not as worse as this but still—
