Chapter 2

    After hours of brainstorming, Achax decided to visit Master Drogo again with a better objection. Master Drogo was also in his own world of thoughts when Achax barged in and began asking series of questions with so much desperation for an answer in his eyes. 

   “You have to tell me why you are doing this right now dad?” Achax asked curiously. 

      “Oh! So you’re here as my son this time” Master Drogo said with a giggle. 

       “All the vampires can’t go there, it would seem like a threat to the wolves ”Achax said and leaned on the chair. 

       Master Drogo smiled and said “playing smart with me?” 

       “Protecting my cavern that’s what it’s called, a research team consisting 5 vampires, I, Asami, Elvira, Zoe, Selene, Hermes. Only on this condition would we visit the wolves ” Achax said with a straight face and leaned forward. 

       “is that meant to be a threat?” Master Drogo asked. 

      “ I’m a threat to whatever brings danger to my cavern” Achax said and stood up. 

      “sometimes I wonder if I wasn’t your father, would you still have so much audacity” Master Drogo questioned quite annoyed. 

        “ if I am not a good son at least I should be a good leader” he said and walked out. 

         Master Drogo sat there replaying what just happened in his head, he didn’t know if to be annoyed or be happy that the vampires had a very good leader. He spent his whole night awake deliberating whether to take Achax decision or send all the vampires to the wolf realm. 

        “what he said actually made sense” he said and then exhaled. 

         Finally the day had arrived, and the vampires were once again gathered for the final announcements , of course every Vampire was curious to find out what was going to be the final decision, especially the primus Achax. Master Drogo simply exhaled and said. 

         “after series of brainstorming I have decided to let the primus take over this research with his little team, Asami, Elvira, Zoe and Hermes, the rest of you can enjoy the rest of your day. You’re therefore dismissed!”. 

        No one was more shocked about that announcement than Elvira was, “what was the cause for sudden change and why did she have to be involved?” she kept on asking herself until Asami snapped her out of it. 

          “ Achax must have something to do with this crap, he better escape because I’m not liking this”. 

         “ Good morning girls” he said with a smile. 

          “ speak of the devil” Asami said abruptly.  

          “you shouldn’t have come” Elvira said and exhaled. 

         Asami scoffed and then began ranting “ I know this is all your plan, you didn’t even ask if we were okay with it , you just took your decision, you and your dad are not any different” she said and rolled her eyes. 

          “ he is also your dad you know” Achax murmured. 

          “ really? I must have forgotten since I lost my memory over night” Asami replied abruptly. 

           “Asami!” Elvira said.  

          “ Good morning guys!” Zoe said in an exciting tone. 

          “why is she happy?” Asami said.  

          Elvira chuckled loudly and pricked Asami to cover what she had just said. 

          “you seem excited” she said.  

          “ I heard the Alpha wolf is an extreme ten, I wanna know if it’s true” Zoe said with a wild smile. 

         “we would be late if we stand here” Achax said and walked out. “ what’s up with him?” Hermes said as he walked towards Zoe.  

         Later that morning the research team made their way to the wolf realm. They soon arrived at the gate of the realm as they waited for the gates to be opened, they noticed the Alpha wolf was standing on the highest floor in the tower and just staring down on them. 

       “ is he playing a patience game with us?” Zoe asked. 

      “ you’re the smart one” Hermes replied. 

      “ Elvira can you get to his head”.  

      “ I’d try” Elvira said as she focused her mind to read Conri’s mind “ impossible!” she exclaimed. 

      “ what’s wrong?” Asami asked curiously. 

     “ I can’t get through his mind” Elvira said, it seems he is using a seal. 

     “ Wow! He is even cooler” Zoe said. 

      Conri let out a smirk and walked away from the tower, the gates were suddenly open and Elmira walked towards them with a broad smile on her face. 

         “ Moon hour vampires” Elmira said with a bow. 

         “ is that meant to be a greeting” Asami said in her head. 

         “Dark day!” Achax said.  

         “ welcome to the wolf realm, please come with me” Elmira said as she led the way. 

          Minutes later they found their selves in the wolf museum, it looked quite impressive, it seemed the wolves had collected more artifacts than the vampires had ever. They were still exploring the museum with their eyes when a guy who looked like a character from dream land walked in, he was tall, masculine, he had his hair styled shaggy and attractive, his eyes sparkled golden, his skin could brightened the atmosphere. 

         “ Dark day vampires!” Conri said with a straight face. 

         “ Moon hour wolves!” Achax returned. 

        “ this is Mr. Conri , the Alpha wolf and I am Ms. Elmira the assistant to the Alpha wolf” she said and gave out a smirk. 

          “ Hi! Elmira, I’m Elvira” Elvira suddenly screamed 

        “oh! That’s nice I guess” Elmira said awkwardly 

        “ huh that was awkward, why was I awkward” Elvira said in her head  

        “ I’m Zoe”  

         “ Hermes” 

         “ Asami and this here is our primus, Achax” Asami said with a fake smile. 

         “ you are less numbered than I expected” Conri suddenly blurted. 

         “ we’re quite organized did you expect all the vampires here” Achax said . 

           “ hmm! Research! Research we should start that right away” Elvira said swiftly. 

           Conri poked his tongue in his cheek and glared at Elvira, she could feel her heart beat faster and louder, like it was going to detach from her body, she swallowed the lump she felt in her throat. Suddenly Tyr came in the picture with the most informal attitude towards strangers. 

         “ what’s up guys, welcome!” he said energetically. 

         “ finally a normal being” Asami said with a smile. 

          “ I’m Tyr! By the way”. 

          “ welcome Tyr we were about to distribute ourselves to help the vampires with their tour” Elmira said. 

         “how is the distribution please?” Tyr asked. 

         “ I, Asami and Zoe would be doing research on the last war, Elvira and Hermes would research the artifacts” Achax said 

         “ I would work with the library guys” Tyr said  

         “ we can find our way around the artifacts since we’re at the museum” Elvira said. 

         “ I would be leaving, thanks for coming” Conri said and walked out. 

          It wasn’t long after their distribution that they all began their research, meanwhile Elvira couldn’t get her mind off how uncomfortable the Alpha made her, his personality was just something far from normal. Hermes kept on staring at her the whole time. 

           “ What is it?” Elvira asked. 

            “ it’s just that Alpha guy how he makes people nervous breaks me ” Hermes blurted 

           “ he has his ways of making a person uncomfortable” Elvira said and exhaled 

         “ how do you think the others are doing?” Hermes asked 

         Meanwhile the others were moving very fast with their research, it seemed they got the smart wolf on their side so it was much easier, unlike Hermes and Elvira, Hermes was never a better choice anyway. 

         “ I need to deliver this necklace to the Alpha wolf “ Elvira said to Hermes 

        “ Master Drogo sent you?” He asked 

        “ no! Just know it’s was a quest” she said and walked out 

         “ what’s with all this vampire ladies” Hermes said and sighed 

         Elvira spent half an hour going round in search for Conri, it was the hardest task she had ever being through, worst thing was she had to walk in the midst of wolves who ogled every time she passed them and didn’t even care if she was fine or not. She finally got to an empty hall where she walked freely like nothing mattered to her, until she suddenly found herself swallowed by the ground. 

         “ no this can’t be happening, I can’t be trapped, no, I’m dead” she said and put her face in her palms 

          Meanwhile Asami and the others were rounding up their research. 

         “ I can’t believe it could be that easy” Zoe said and exhaled 

        “ I hope everything is fine, I can’t trust Hermes with anything serious, why did you pick him anyway?” Asami said and sighed 

          Elvira was still trying to get out of the mess she put herself in, when she had loud hisses coming from different directions. 

        “ what’s that? I hope that was just my imaginations” Elvira said, now she felt more endangered. 

         she felt sweat dripping out from every part of her body, the hisses became louder and louder. First she saw a tail, then a head, then a massive shadow, at this moment she began screaming on the top of her voice, but no one was forth coming. The creature came out completely, it was a dragon snake, the most dangerous creature to the vampires, the most powerful weapon the wolves used during war era, at this moment her screams went higher, immediately the creature came closer Elvira blacked out.
