The tension In the room stood so thick it scared Mira, her hands shook as she tried to hug herself. Tanya had been right from the beginning, she should have accepted Xander's decision of not wanting a relationship with her and let it go. However, her stubbornness and refusal to heed any word of wisdom had finally landed her in trouble.

It has taken her almost an hour to recover from Kira's escape before making the call to Leila about the situation they were in. Never had she seen such an escape being carried out before. Almost like an immortal being had come to Kira's rescue.

She felt like a wounded antelope trapped in between three lions, any move would have her devoured and her blood splattered all over the place. She had Kira right there in one minute, and Mira felt like an actual gangster. In the next minute, Kira was gone and Mira was made to look incompetent.
