Xavier inclined his head and gently placed a kiss on Alexia's forehead.

"You should take some rest. I can tell you're tired," he advised. With those words, Xavier carefully lifted Alexia into his arms and settled her onto the bed.

As soon as her head touched the soft pillow, Alexia felt herself drifting off to sleep. The exhaustion had taken its toll on her. Meanwhile, Xavier retrieved his phone and saw that its battery had died. Acting swiftly, he got a charger and proceeded to recharge his phone.
