Why Did You Return Now?

The stranger's intense gaze locked onto mine, and their knife was pointed directly at me. Fear surged through my veins, but I tried to remain composed.

"Who are you?" I asked, my voice trembling slightly.

The person didn't respond, but their eyes bore into mine with hostility. I could sense the aggression emanating from them, and I knew that I had stumbled into a dangerous situation.

Before I could react, another figure emerged from the shadows, their face partially obscured by a hood. The newcomer's presence was unsettling, and I felt a chill run down my spine.

"Stay back," the hooded figure warned, their voice low and menacing. "This is not a place for strangers."

"I mean no harm," I said, trying to keep my voice steady. "I'm just passing through. I used to be part of this pack."

The stranger with the knife eyed me suspiciously. "Used to be? You're not welcome here anymore."

The tension in the air was palpable, and I knew I had to tread carefully. "I know I left, but I need closure.
