Hi guys, Today, I am feeling kinda upset. Yesterday, I read a review on the book's main page and it just dimmed my mood. I know it's hard to wait for the next chapters but trust me, I try my best with regular updates. The words 'We pay to read, not pay to wait,' didn't feel right to me. It isn't like I cheated with y'all. Everyone already knew that it was an ongoing book. I promised my readers daily updates since the start and I am fulfilling my promise. I would have understood if the reason for the low rating was grammar or the storyline itself. I greatly appreciate your support and I know you wait for the updates and that's what makes me keep going. Anyhow, thank you for all your support. As for the next chapter, I'll upload that in a little while. Love you all, Hami
Delilah's POV:Katherine frowned and looked at us, surprised that we were clueless about Andrew. Tilting her head slightly to the right, she stated, "After coming here, Ragnor told me that he had told you all about my story in the car. So how come you don't know about Andrew?"My eyebrows drew closer in confusion, "He just told me about Rick and the magic spell he put on you every year to hibernate your wolf."She shook her head in disbelief, "It means he has only told you about the bad things that happened to me." A hint of a smile touched her lips as she continued, "But my story can never be complete without Andrew, the only good thing that has ever happened to me."She let out a soft chuckle, "If I would have known that you didn't know yet, I'd have shared it myself." She shrugged her shoulder, "I have nothing to hide."Turning toward Xee and Adeline, I raised my eyebrow as if to say 'See? I told you so.'Her smile widened, "Anyhow. So Andrew is my husband."All three of us let out
Delilah's POV:Katherine's eyes moved to where Xee was standing, "Of course. Just as I said, I have nothing to hide."I liked how she was standing up to Xee. I appreciated her courage and squeezed her hand for her to go on.She breathed in deeply, "For the next few years, my yearly illness decreased because my body became immune to the spell but the fear was ever-increasing. The fear of Rick finding me and taking me back to the shit hole with him made it impossible for me to sleep a wink during those days. If not for illness, I would fall sick because of fear. A simple knock at the door would make my body go cold and shivering."Her hands were trembling. I wondered if she'd ever get rid of those horrendous memories. Bearing the same shit again and again after every year was unimaginable. She brought her knees up to her face and wrapped her hands around it in a protective manner, "But Andrew couldn't see me like that. Every year, he would beg me to either go to Council or take help fro
Delilah's POV:Katherine, Adeline, and I talked for a bit more until the sky darkened and the moon took over. There was a light knock on the door and then Luke peeked inside. Looking at us, he said shyly, "Sorry, girls, but it's my time now."We grinned like a maniac as he whooped Adeline off the bed and heaved her in his arms. After she was gone, I too excused myself and made my way back to my room.It was past 9 pm but there was no sign of Xee in the mansion. Picking up my phone, I left him a few messages to which he didn't respond.Padding toward the washroom, I closed the door behind me and stripped off my clothes. Standing under the stream of hot water, I let it flow down my body and relaxed a bit.The same thought was going around in my mind and I knew that I had to discuss the matter with Xee. I wanted to do whatever was in my power to help Katherine out of this mess.Turning off the shower, I wrapped a bathrobe around myself and sauntered out of the washroom. The room was eeri
Delilah's POV:He gave me a look while scratching his eyebrow, "Why do I feel that I'm not gonna like it?"I didn't meet his gaze while answering, "Because you probably won't."Gently pulling me to the side, he sat up on the bed and sighed, "Then why do you have to talk about it?"He seemed agitated and I hadn't even started yet. I too sat up, "Because it's important."He wiped his hand through his hair and exhaled loudly, "Delilah, can't we just put things aside for a while and have some quality time together where instead of others, we focus on each other?"I waved my hand in the air, "How am I supposed to ignore the thing that has been on my mind for so long?"He looked at me for a long minute and then said, "Okay, let's get over with it."I took a moment to find the right words to relay what I had in my mind. Taking a deep breath, I started, "Katherine's wolf is on the verge of dying. One more spell and it would be the end of her."His eyebrow quivered higher, "I am well aware of
Delilah's POV:After the night of turning and tossing on the bed, I got up at 5 am and went out for a run.Akira had been really upset with me. She was furious and agitated for what I did last night. And now she was getting out of control with rage. For the first time ever, she pushed me to the back and took the reins in her hands. I kept myself at bay and let her have her time to clear her head by sprinting into the woods. She pushed her feet against the ground and increased her speed, "I can't believe that you did that," she linked me.I sighed tiredly, "At least, YOU should try to understand me."She let out a low growl, "What exactly were you thinking? Pushing him away...suggesting him to go and mate with someone else...ridiculous."I tried to speak to her but she wasn't ready for a two-way conversation. She huffed out, "Fang was really angry and upset with whatever you said."There was a silence for a small moment after which she uttered firmly, "I have never tried to overpower y
Delilah's POV:Adeline was furious at me. But more than that, she was astonished.Shaking her head, she huffed, "Seriously, Delilah, you need to stop doing this.""Stop what?" I retorted."Sabotaging your own happiness for others," she gritted out.Peeling off the wall, I eyed her, "So, are you trying to say that I should just ignore everything and everyone and be selfish?"She rolled her eyes dramatically, "All that I am trying to say is that you should just stop worrying about everyone else and start focusing on your own happiness."Walking to the bed, I flopped down, "I...I can't, Addy. Just how can I be happy when Katherine has been like that? It feels so selfish. I just can't stop thinking...""Stop right there. Your overthinking would kill you someday, girl." She started walking in my direction, "And by the way, who said that you need to feel bad about Katherine?"As I looked at her, she shrugged lightly, "From what I have seen, I can say that she is blessed with a loving husban
Delilah's POV:It had been two days since the arrival of Anderson and the scared and worried Katherine was long gone. They stayed together every minute of the day. Literally, they were practically inseparable and the glow on Katherine's face was enough to confirm that she was happy and content.I was glad that Xee decided to invite Anderson here. It was working great in her recovery. Deep down, I wondered if he brought him here so that I wouldn't suspect him or to show me that I didn't need to feel bad about anything as Katherine was quite happy. We have decided to wait for a few days before Ragnor does the spell for the final time and put her wolf to rest forever. Katherine's mental as well as physical state wasn't that strong at the moment to bear the pain and loss.I have been checking up on her every day and trying to channel healing into her as much as possible. And Anderson was taking care of her every moment. More than anyone, he was making sure that she was eating healthy and s
Delilah's POV:The next day, when I went down for breakfast, I saw Xee coming out of Katherine's room. He halted as he looked at me and our eyes met for a brief moment before I averted my gaze and strolled into the kitchen.Isabella was preparing the breakfast and I asked her if she needed any help. She denied with a polite smile and I turned around to find Xee standing behind me.He shoved his hands in his pockets and said in a low voice, "Now before you start overthinking, let me tell you why I was in there."I raised my eyebrow and interrupted him, "I don't remember asking you about anything."With that, I passed around him and headed to the dining table. I greeted Adeline and Luke and just like every other day, Xee pushed out a chair for me to sit beside him.I hated how the atmosphere always turned cold and gloomy for everyone whenever we were present in close proximity.Everyone would walk on the eggshells as if a bomb was going to explode at any moment. From his seat, Ragnor lo
