Chapter Forty–one ~Reunited~

Gwen stepped back from the woman who looked a lot like her. Same skin tone, the same facial structure, and long hair. "Get away from me!" she yelled.

A yelp escapes the woman's lips. "That's no way to talk to your mother."

"You're not my mother!"

"Stop it, Gwen. She's your mother. She's here to take you with her." Mrs. Esmeralda confirmed.

Gwen looked confused. She was on the verge of tears. "How could she be my mother? She abandoned me!"

"Is that what they told you? That I abandoned you!"

The argument had begun to sear up.

I, Leo, Lionel, and Mr Nate Blackthorn stood watching how this was unfolding.

I can't get my head around how Gwen's real mother is one of these men. She mentioned earlier that Josh gave her up to the ferals because the ferals wanted to get back at her mother.

Shortly after, my father walked into the house, and behind him was his Beta. There was something big going on here today. It's obvious.

It was killing me that I was being kept in suspense.
