Chapter eight

Elora POV

Standing before the window, I leaned forward to see some warriors training. Not only males but females were among them. Their moves captivated my eyes, and I was awestruck watching them, but I realized I could never be one of them.

I had no wolf, and maybe I would continue to be weak for my entire life starting from today.

"Alpha brought a human to the pack?” A lady warrior said as she was exchanging fists with someone.

“Yeah, I saw her with both eyes. She looks weak. I think the Alpha is keen to join her in the collection of girls he had slept with, if not what other use can she have? She can't fight, she can't be anything. She's even weaker than omegas in the pack.” Another lady snickered and was brimming with happiness as she said those words.

I felt like my heart was split open. So I would be used? That was all this was about? I fumed, unable to contain myself. I didn't know whether it was out of jealousy or something I hadn't seen yet, but I could tell their words were true.

After all, they didn't know I was here watching them, or else their words would seem intentional, but it wasn't.

Crack!

Suddenly, the door was pulled open, and looking towards it, I saw the one man who I didn't want to see. The same person who intends to use me. Now I could tell saving me before was just an act to prove himself to be good, but then I saw his true color.

Those ladies down there showed it to me and I would never act like a fool even though I was weak.

“You like the setting, don't you?” He asked moving closer to me and sitting right next to where I was. His face holding a smile intending to fool me again, and I was fed up.

“You intend to use me, don't you? Just like other ladies?” I snarled at him, gritting my teeth and clasping my thighs tightly in rage.

But then what I received was silence, but that didn't mean I intended to back down. Rather, I had more to say. Plenty of it until he decided to let me out of this hellhole he brought me to.

“You!” I snapped again, and he snapped back at me, making my lips sealed close.

“What do you mean by all those words you just said? Before you heard rumors that I was a ruthless Alpha, and now you heard I sleep around? Just who the fuck is feeding you all these lies!” He said angry, staring at me as though he could burn me up.

“They are all true. You proved yourself earlier to be brutal, and I knew what I heard must be true. I look too weak for you, yet you want to use me? You would like to add me to your harem collection or what?” I snapped back. I wasn't intending to lag even though he was an Alpha that could crush me up with just a grip.

I suddenly feared nothing about him. His bulky size, nor his aura. I was immune to it, no matter how long it would be occupying the air.

“Just listen to yourself. What do you mean I was brutal? I tried to save you from Lucian and this is what I get?” he raised a brow at me.

Anger had taken over his face exactly how I wanted, and I could see he was trying to contain himself, but the words I kept firing at him weren't helping. Though all of it was true.

“I didn't ask to be brought to this pack and be killed. If you had left me where I was, there wouldn't be all this. Whispers wouldn't be going around about me, and those warriors out there won't be talking about me either!” I slammed at him.

“What?” He said as though collecting his thought and that was when I realized I must have said too much. I must have slipped out the source of the rumors, and now he could pinpoint them.

“It's them Isn't it?” He asked and without waiting for my reply he walked towards the window looking down at the warriors who were training.

Just then his anger emerged way tougher than before. One I had never seen before, and his aura made me stumble on my feet, but I stood my ground.

“So? It isn't like they would lie about their Alpha, right?” I hit the nail right in the chest, and he turned toward me with a hand pointed at my face.

“Dont push me!” He sneered.

There was more of what he wanted to say, but for some reason, he seemed to be reserving himself.

“What? Just let me go!” I said in a pleading voice.

“If that's your wish, then no! Keep listening to rumors until you find out they are not true!” He hissed and wanted to walk towards the door, but I quickly grabbed his arm.

“Stop talking as though you are righteous. You are still an evil person, no matter how hard you try to be sweet.” I smirked at his face, and he was taken aback by what I said. “It doesn't suit you!” I added, and before I knew it, his hand wrapped around my neck choking me, and I was pressed against the wall.

“You will obey me! I am your Alpha!” He grumbled with his eyes flickering red. His fangs grew out while his normal fingers grew into fangs, and it was sticking into my throat, cutting in slowly.

Blood started trickling down the floor and I nearly screamed my lungs out.

Crack!

The door was suddenly cracked open and someone walked in.

“What the heck! Devlin, what have you done?” A feminine figure shouted from behind, and he pulled his hand away, shivering and staring at me in shock. “You have Injured her?” The voice said again and footsteps were heard running from behind to where I was.

I didn't even mind looking at who it was, as I had collapsed on the floor with heavy eyes. I was trying to fight the tears back in but was failing.

“I…” Devlin struggled to say something, but nothing was coming out of his mouth.

“Leave.” The woman yelled at him before turning to face me.
