Chapter twenty six

I turned away from his lips. What was wrong with me? Wasn’t it already enough for me that he even considered me worthy to dance with? Why was I suddenly letting myself get bothered by this? I swallowed hard; it was alright. I just had to compose myself.

While we were dancing, he turned me around again, and this time, I landed in the arms of someone else. I was about to speak when I immediately recalled what the cordinator had said about it being a partner swap kind of dance.

As I danced with this man, whoever it was, I just knew something was different. That feeling, the one I had when I was in Leonardo’s hand, wasn’t there.

I just felt plain comfortable being with this man, and I couldn’t help but wonder what it was that was special about Leonardo that I didn’t feel with this man. Again, it was a partner exchange, and I landed with another man.
