Miracle's POV

As we left the party and headed to the car, I burst into loud laughter, feeling proud of myself.

Not only had I successfully passed my test of handling myself from Leo's ex, but I had also managed to hold my own among the wealthy and influential crowd. I didn't embarrass myself in the presence of those stuck-up billionaires.

Leo's smiles were glossy and bright, reaching his eyes. "Good job, Miracle," he said as he chuckled and patted my back. "I didn't think you'd be able to handle her. "

I blushed and warmth spread through my body. "Well, I did and I deserve an award."

"What do you want?" He chuckled and I shook my head.

"Nothing, other than getting a successful hitch-free job done and getting paid afterward."

"How about getting you a better phone than that crap you're using."

I stopped walking and gasped. "What! My phone is great. I don't care what you think about it. "

"I bet it takes blurry pictures, "he said, bursting into loud laughter and leading me to h
