The Effort

Lany was even more surprised by what Mondrei said, the reason why he went to the place where the meeting she attended was held. He said that he went there to pick her up.

Why did he do that? What were his purpose and he suddenly thought of picking her up? Does he plan to catch her if she's doing something that he doesn’t like? Those were the questions that immediately entered her mind.

What will she do now? He must have found out something, that's why he thought of going there.

"So, where are you? Why can't I see you here?" Mondrei asked again when he still didn't hear an answer from Lany.

"A-Actually, I'm here at a convenience store near the intersection. I'm just buying something," Lany replied as she decided to just tell Mondrei where she really was. And if he asks again, she would just tell him what she's really doing there.

Meanwhile, Mondrei felt satisfied with Lany's answer. At least, she told him the truth about where she was. He knew that she was inside the convenience store
