Chapter 34: The Storm (1)

Bernie's POV

"What are you thinking about?" Dylan pushed my shoulder, and I looked at him in shock. Dylan frowned inexplicably. He pulled me inside: "You pay attention to the road a bit. You almost bumped into someone!"

I smiled and made up with Dylan. Mom walked in the front; sometimes, she would turn to look at us and then smile. Dylan and I didn't dare to get too attached for fear of being teased by my mother, but I was still quite worried about Dylan's health. Today, he walked for several hours.

While my mother was trying on dresses, I leaned close to Dylan's ear and asked, "Are you feeling okay?" While asking me and giving Dylan a little massage, he groaned and looked around.

"Don't be like that. The staff is looking at us!" Dylan's earlobe was red, and he grabbed my hand tightly to prevent me from continuing to massage.

I reluctantly withdrew my hand; instead, I sighed, saying, "We're already married. Why are you still worried about the eyes of the people around you?"
