Chapter 9: Boring everyday life

Bernie's POV

I walked over to the reception desk, pouting at the simple meal on the table. Just now, I rushed to call Dylan back just to entrust him with some work that was already completed. After giving the job to Dylan, I felt a bit regretful. If Dylan knew the truth, he would surely think that I was deliberately making things difficult for him.

“Tch!”

Never mind, he can't blame me anyway. I was just doing my job right! That thought made me much more comfortable. I calmly ate the lunch that Dylan prepared for me.

The meeting just ended, and Emma went to the office to find me.

"Mr. White, you have a dinner date with Mr. Miller tonight." Emma flipped open the schedule: “Do you want to let Dylan study?”
