Mary stood up and ran into the bathroom because if she had stayed, she would have given into the most lustful desires of the innermost part of her heart. And she did not want that, not with someone like Adonis. A cold blooded murderer who would not hesitate to kill her if he sees the need. She nodded and in order to get rid of the awkwardness, she asked if he was not going to work, and why he was not dressed. She lifted herself up by her elbow, feeling a slight pain on her forehead. She looked around, she was on the bed in her room. She wondered how she had for there. She suddenly remembered the accident and how traumatized she had been when the break failed, it happened that she passes out as a result of shock from the minor accident that she had with Adonis car. Mary wondered who was so important that he was texting in his phone that he could not even spare a second from his phone to even look at her. She felt annoyed, it could be one of his numerous women. Mary had no idea why she was angry, whether it was because Adonis trie to kill her, or if it was because he ignored her abd focused on his phone, or if it was because she felt he was texting other women or if it was his hypocrisy. The next morning, Mary was surprised to find herself lying comfortably on the bed, she had remembered sitting on the chair and reading a book before she was eventually carried away by sleep. She could not even remember a line from what she read the previous night, it was such a pity that her effort to use the book to keep awake turned out to be futile. She sat up and looked to the other side to find her novel closed and kept neatly on the bedside table, she wondered if it was Adonis that had come into her room and helped her lye comfortably on the bed.
