Simon's POV

Lil inputted her address into my GPS, and we made our way back into the mountains. She played with her phone, trying to get used to it. I gave her my phone number and watched her type in Susi’s number, too. I offered her Opal’s number, but she declined talking about how she wanted to go about it the right way, so she didn’t feel used. That made me smile.

I’ve known this girl for a day, and I’m falling hard for her. She’s compassionate and loyal. Nothing like the previous chicks I’ve dated. And the way she teased me earlier? Oh. Hot. Damn. Lil is feisty but pure. I don’t know where she developed the skills to tease like that. It was almost like something clicked in her when our eyes met in the car.
