Chapter 36
Simon's POV
As I watched my mate be announced to the pack as someone else's, I found the desire to storm into the celebratory cheers and announce myself as her mate. Loki fought me on my temptations and I obliged him. It didn't stop the pain in my chest from making it difficult to breathe as I soaked in the attention Connor gave her. To make matters worse, Talia caught my scent as she stormed towards the house. I grimaced as Lil's eyes darted between Talia and me, watching her own suffering flash in her beautiful blues.
I ripped my gaze from Lil and focused on the incoming target. Talia may wish I was her target but she was dearly mistaken. I stashed my disgust for the whore in an imaginary box and mentally locked it. Her hand whipped her hair over her shoulder as she swayed with more force than necessary over to me. Her fake eyelashes held on desperately to the glue as she swatted them at me.

Even though I am not off work from my full-time job, I also have kids home from school. Starting 11/22/21 I will be uploading 3 days a week. As we near the ending of the story, I'd like to take more time in completing it to give the quality I want it to be. I won't lie, I have been stressing myself by working full-time, being a full-time mommy, and writing 5 days a week. As long as my plan to relieve some stress works, I'll do my best to upload longer chapters than usual. Maybe even 2 chapters on each of the days.
