Chapter 74 - Mother's Scolding

Trinity POV

Rumors spread around the bunker like wildfire, but the stories are stretched so far from the truth. They are barely recognizable are no longer remotely close to reality. Luckily, the incident is speculation and so is my identity. I’m not taking anything for granted, though.

The last thing we need when we are locked in the bunker together is to send people into a panic or shock from seeing me. It is best for everyone to not know anything yet.

We have enough to deal with and don’t need anymore.

I pull my hoodie farther over my head, making sure no one can see who I am.

A flurry of whispers and murmurs follow me as I hurry through the bunker towards my mother’s office. Once inside, I shut the door and pull the hood off my head. “Tell me you have some good news, or maybe you’ve captured all the spies.”

She shakes her head and points towards the chair in front of the desk. “No. Have a seat.” She looks behind me. “Isn’t Lance coming with you?”
