Chapter 40 - A big mosquito

We enter the room and I see the Governor dressed in home wear. He sat there looking at some documents and appeared to be very busy. Even at home, he’s working.

“Ken, why are you so free to come home today?” Kayden’s tone is very casual.

I, on the other hand, am very nervous. I never thought I would meet Kenneth Marshall one day. Plus, he’s my elder brother-in-law.

Kenneth saw me and immediately smiled before walking towards me. “This is the first time we met. Forgive me, I was a little busy with work. And Kay has shielded you too well, rarely brings you home.”

It’s probably because he could not be bothered to bring me home since we are not true lovers anyway. I shake Kenneth’s hand that he extended. “Mr. Governor, I’m Zara Wilson.”

He chuckles. “Oh please, call me Kenneth. We are family.”

I smile. Kenneth does not look the same as he does on television. But now that I see it, all three brothers have clear similarities.

Soon, Lily came in. “Have a seat all of you.”

I quickly join her.
