Search in the Storm

Fenris was just in the bathroom, using the toilet as any person would. When he heard a strange sound, he didn’t think much of it; only assumed it to be the snowstorm outside. Until after he flushed and proceeded to wash his hands, when he heard something open from his room.

After a quick rinse, Fenris barged out the bathroom to his room, where he found his mate out of bed, in the balcony.

“CHRISTEN!”

He ran as fast as he could to her, reaching a hand out to grab her, pull her away from the ledge, only to come short, as Christen jumped, falling to the ground below.

"Christen!" he cried out once more, just as the wind blew stronger. He wanted to jump down after her, but chose against it. For one thing, he could accidentally land on her. Worse, frighten her once he lands unscathed from the high jump, or recover fast from it.

‘I don’t want to scare her,’ he thought, turning away from the ledge, and froze. ‘I don’t want to scare her… But I also don’t want to lose her!’ At that thought, he
