Ethan’s POV

Maria returned to me with a glum look on her face, she collapsed into the chair with a loud sigh “I am so tired, it just keeps getting better and better” she said.

I smiled and said “Yeah right” I reached out and brushed a strand of hair from her face.

She gave me a tired smile and then sat up properly on the chair “So how was it? Did you find it nice or even productive?” she asked.

I wondered the word to use in describing my time with Dr. Carter, pondering on it for a second, I could only come up with one “I believe it was quite eye-opening in a way” I said to her.

“I am glad you enjoyed it, I had thought it might be painful or something” she said.

I chuckled and said “Did you think she was going to stick wires in my brain and electrocute me?”

“Something like that” she said with a small smile.

I caressed her face gently and said “I will be fine dear, don’t worry about me, I think she will be very effective in treating me”
