Chapter Forty-Three

I remain with my head down slightly as the drums only got louder and in turn, much more intense than before. I begin to try and rack my brain in hopes of finding ways to ignore this, I knew even if I didn’t look at what was happening, I’m still going to hear it!

Before I had time to fully think of my next moves, the drums quieten in a sense which was what caused me to look up. Asher was still stood in the middle of the stage, but off on the other set of wooden stairs, Spencer was being dragged on. When I saw him, I begin to feel immensely sorry for him, I know what he did was wrong and he deserves to have some kind of punishment, but maybe death is taking it a little too far.

His feet and hands were in chains, his once smiled filled face was one of sadness and regret. His entire face littered in cuts, bruises, and dirt. My heart ached for him a sense, he only lifts his head up once where he and I locked eyes. Just from his eyes alone, I knew he didn’t mean for any of this to happen. A
