Chapter Twenty-Three

After even more hours of organising, I had finally put all of the years' worth of papers away. His office looked so much neater and workable, only a few mini paper cuts as battle wounds but we were smooth sailing. I close the filing cabinet as the office door knocks twice and opens up, Cameron and Becky walking into the office with smiles on their faces but I got a feeling from them, something was on their minds.

“What happened in here, I can see your desk and the floor?!” Cameron asks gobsmacked in a sense looking around, I just smile walking closer to Asher and his desk before Becky runs at full speed over to me engulfing me in a hug.

“It’s great to see you better and not in excruciating pain.” She asks squeezing me so tightly that she cut off my air for a second, but I was soon released where she takes a step back looking at me. “It’s also amazing that we no longer have to hide things from you, I see you’re not running for the hills after learning about werewolves.” She smiles whic
