CH85 - Dereck's POV

Even though I had agreed to leave them alone, I didn’t wander far from the bedroom. I wanted to be there for when they were done, as we had so much to talk about now that they were finally accepting one another’s roles within this pack of ours.

I could hear them decently enough from where I stood, and part of me longed to be included. However, this moment was not like the others, and I knew there was no place for me during the mating ritual. Kai and Dereck might even become territorial against me without meaning to, so it is best I avoid anything that could set off their natural instincts.
