Chapter forty three

Although Matthew had assured me that there was no problem if I was late to the party tonight or even appeared there just for a moment. But I still decided to go downstairs early.

After pushing Matthew aside, I adjusted my clothes neatly, not forgetting to glance at him with the purpose of warning him not to tease me again or do something inappropriate right now.

This time, Matthew obediently listened to me. Anyway, he had already achieved the benefits he wanted, of course he wouldn't do too much.
