Chapter sixty-two

Matthew glanced at me then back at the secretary and asked. "What did she come to see me for?" His tone was devoid of any emotion, like the person who came looking for him was a normal person rather than his ex-girlfriend.

"She wants to talk with you about the new collaboration project of Brown and AS company." The employee answered very seriously.

"OK." Matthew rolled his eyes. "You should go out first and tell her to wait for me in the big meeting room, I'll be there in five minutes." Matthew said nonchalantly.

"I got it." Then she left, not forgetting to close the door.

Before leaving, she looked at me once and bowed slightly. I smiled as if greeting her.

It wasn't difficult for her to guess that I was Matthew's wife, but she didn't show any curiosity or look at me inquiringly, but just focused on announcing the work to Matthew. When she heard what Matthew told her, she quietly walked out of his office and did what Matthew just asked her.
