Four days and no word of her.

This is the longest Faye has ever been missing for.

I had to look at the facts and accept that she had actually run out on me. And I still couldn't find her.

For four days now, I have had people searching.

It was time to report her missing, unfortunately. Questions would soon arise about the absence of my wife and it would be suspicious as hell if I didn't know where she was and I hadn't reported her missing.

I had to send out a missing person's report as soon as the local police okayed it. And I had to come up with a plausible story about how she had gone missing.

I could tell the world someone had kidnapped her from the hospital. That would not only garner me sympathy, but help the police strive harder to find her.

If they somehow learnt she had voluntarily run away, she wouldn't be tagged as a missing person.
