Chapter 98

Lillith and Cali were just packing you when one of the guards walked up to them. He bowed at Lillith who felt quite awkward and Cali smiled with a look that said: “I told you so.”

"Alpha Leon requests your presence in his study,"

"Is anything the problem?" Lillith asked as she scrambled to her feet.

The guard shook his head. "Not that I know of."

"Don't worry, I'll take care of him," Cali said as Lillith tried to lift Henry up.

"And how are you going to do that alone?" Lillith asked, her face etched with worry.

"Did I say I was going to do it alone?" Cali said as she stared pointedly at the man standing before her. Lillith nodded.

"Alright then. I'll leave you both to it."

Before the guard turned to walk away, Cali called after him. "Hey! Didn't you understand a word I said to her? Come over here and join me."

Lillith laughed and began to walk away. She kept smiling till she got to the door that led to Leon's study.
