AGAINST THE TREE

BLADE'S POV

Five hours to go.

Gradually, it turned to four hours more and then roughly three more hours.

I paced around my room, anxiously glancing at the clock at intervals. I was going to be meeting Evanora in less than two hours and I literally couldn't wait.

My whole day had gone like that. I spent it carrying out my normal Alpha duties with my attention divided the whole time. When she wasn't on my mind, the time was on my mind, and in the end, it drew me back to her.

After leaving the pack meeting we had a few minutes ago, I immediately headed to my room to take a shower. I changed into fresh clothes, styled my hair, and resumed counting down the hours till the sunset.

My room door was swung open to reveal Adam. I smiled and waved at him as he strolled in, replying to my smile with an awkward one.

"You seem to be in a good mood," he sat on my bed, peering at me. "Did something good happen?"
