BLADE’S POV

“Alpha Blade!”

It took Adam’s loud voice, immediately pulling me out of my thoughts for me to realize how lost I had been. Forcing a neutral expression, I raised my head to meet him staring at me with furrowed eyebrows. “Oh. What were you saying?”

“I said so many things so I don’t know which part exactly you missed,” he replied me, seeming irked. “Or were you even listening to me at all? Was I just speaking to myself all along?”

“No, no,” I massaged my temples as I responded. “I was listening. Just got lost along the way. You were talking about recruits, weren’t you? Yeah, what about them?”

“I was saying the Luna said she wants to choose the new sets herself,” he groaned. “It’s not like she was asking for your permission anyways. I was just informing you beforehand.”

“Oh, thank you,” I nodded. “Alright then. If that’s all, I’ll be heading to my office. I have a pile of work waiting for me.”
