Marco threw the glass in anger and watched it shatter as it hit the ground. He had just finished talking with his father and his response was the same. "Soon."

He knew what his father was thinking and it angered him even more that he was so relunctant to give his son the chance to lead the pack.

"That greedy man!" He yelled, the veins in his throat popping out.

"Of course he's greedy. He's your father." Evelyn said in mockery. Marco was not having it. He spun and held her throat in a choke hold and lifted her up, slamming her back on the wall. "What did you say?" He whispered, breathing down her neck.

"Let go of me!" She screamed. "If you sit around waiting for your father to finally announce you as the Alpha, I promise you you'll wait until you have grey hair! Do something!"

He let go of her and she crumbled on the floor with a thud. She stood up, her hands caressing her bruise. "You know I'm right. He keeps pushing the day forward because he hasn't given up on his search
